BOBAN ILIC
Movement, balance and the dynamic exchange of energy are key elements in Boban’s sculptures. His nearly free-floating figures, comprised primarily of stainless steel flatware, seem to challenge the natural force of gravity. “I want them to fly,” explains Boban. “If I could, I would never put them on the ground.” Boban’s artwork celebrates the power and creativity of humanity by infusing life and fluidity into the otherwise inert, solid nature of steel.
Boban’s dream-like paintings present a world of dramatic composition, often portraying conflicting figures and emotions. His sensual expressions transcend reality yet maintain the passion and power of the Renaissance spirit
